For Students
If you’re a college level or career tech student looking for some experience in the Web Development or Web Marketing fields, you’ve come to the right place. TKG Institute can provide you with great experience and education in current Web techniques and technologies. Of course, it’ll also put a little money in your pocket to work your way through school.
We have a staff of young, talented employees in the Web development, design, and marketing areas who can’t wait to impart their wisdom with you. You’ll be learning primarily from two of our most experienced Web developers – James Golden, Josh McDermitt, Colin Brimfield and Josh Tummel (learn more about them here). They’ll ensure you learn HTML the right way and get the skills you need to hit the ground running once you graduate.
If you’re highly motivated and believe you have some talent in any of the following areas, please contact us:
- Graphic Design
- Programming (php, asp, .NET)
- HTML/CSS
- Search Engine Marketing/Optimization
We also know people have different schedules, skill levels, and needs. That’s why we’re offering three ways to get involved in the TKG Institute program:
- TKG Internship Program: Usually a summer or semester-long commitment, this opportunity is for college students who wish to learn Web development or search engine optimization under the direction of the TKG staff. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available during normal business hours.
- After Hours Program: Targeted at high school and college students, this program offers part-time employment three nights a week. Students work under the direction of TKG staff to updating the Web sites of area companies using HTML.
- Five-Week Training Class: This free course, taught on a voluntary basis by TKG staff members, is designed for high school and college students who wish to enter the After Hours program, but first need basic HTML training. Students who complete the class and pass a final exam are eligible to enter the After Hours Program.
While you can expect your time at The Karcher Group to be filled with lots of learning and projects, we also like to have fun. When you need a break, we’ve got fooseball and pool tables right here in the office, and we’re not opposed to blasting loud music after hours. We also have legendary “brain fightsâ€? with the pink foam TKG “brainsâ€? floating around the office.
